This isn't a tourist guide – it's our wellness travel edit. Where to move, train, recover and eat well during your stay in Lisbon.

Lisbon – the city of seven hills

Lisbon has undoubtedly one of the most impressive food and wellness scenes in Europe, and knowing where to find it makes all the difference. From beautiful studios and coastal running routes to neighbourhood bistros and organic farmers markets, the city has built something that feels less like a trend and more like a way of life.

This is Lisbon through the @oyogo.london lens – considered, wellness-led, and always in pursuit of the best the city has to offer.

Where to stay

Torel Palace

Perched on one of Lisbon's oldest hilltops inside a restored palace, Torel Palace brings a beautifully considered wellness offering into the heart of the city. Hammam rituals, organic Portuguese treatments, hilltop yoga and panoramic views of the Tagus included.

Where to move + recover

Somewhere to stretch, strengthen and sweat

The best places to move and recover across Lisbon.

The Kynd Space

Reformer Pilates, mat classes, yoga, barre and HIIT, all taught in English and designed around a space that feels as good to be in as the classes themselves.

Amplify

Indoor cycling, bootcamp, yoga and barre across three city locations. The cycling classes are their signature: soulful, music-driven and full body.

Studio Rise

The best cycling studio in town. Intense indoor cycling in meditative half-light, set to a soundtrack that makes it feel less like a workout and more like a night out.

Contrast Club

Hot yoga, strength, breathwork and contrast therapy steps from Carcavelos beach. Infrared-heated classes, a smoothie bar, and a community that runs well beyond the studio floor.

Where to run, walk and explore

Lisbon rewards those who move through it on foot

An early morning run through Alfama's empty streets, a run along the Tagus, or a slow climb between miradouros as the city wakes up. Lisbon is the city of seven hills, so if you like some incline you're in the right place – and it has some of the most beautiful architecture, so make sure you look up.

Tagus Riverfront

A flat, wide path running west from the city centre to Belém. Open skies, river views and almost no traffic.

Best at sunrise

Alfama

Steep, narrow streets threading past tiled facades and sleeping fado bars.

Run it early, before the city wakes

Monsanto

2,400 acres of forested trails on the city's western edge. Hilly, quiet and surprisingly wild for a capital city.

Cascais Esplanade

A coastal path running west from Estoril along the Atlantic shoreline to Cascais – wide, flat and open to the ocean.
